Excellence in Speech 2007 The schools winning the Excellence in Speech Award represent the top 5% of those participating.  This year 394 schools participated and twenty of them were awarded the prestigious “Excellence in Speech Award.”  The school with the most points this year was Darlington.  The other winners were: Baraboo, Burlington, DeForest, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire Regis, Edgar, Green Bay Preble, Kiel, Lancaster, Lodi, Lomira, Luxemburg Casco, Mount Calvary’s St. Lawrence Seminary, Monroe, New Holstein, New Richmond, River Falls, St. Croix Falls, and Westosh Central.
