The Board of Control at the Fall Board Meeting approved the request from the Theatre Advisory to change the time limit in One Act Play Festivals. The past practice was that a school had 35 minutes of playing time with a 30 second grace period and 5 minutes for set up and 5 minutes for strike. The new ruling will give the schools a total of 45 minutes to use any way they wish with no grace period. The new ruling will give directors the ability to use more script time if they have little set up or strike requirements.
