Workshops are held Friday and Saturday of the festival. You may propose up to four (4) workshops, and we will select a number commensurate to projected festival participation. Proposals must be received by October 1, but are appreciated sooner. We will notify individuals by October 15 if their workshops are accepted.

We are planning to hold the 2021 festival in-person at UW-Stevens Point; however, due to concerns with the delta COVID-19 variant, the multi-institutional nature of the festival, and various restrictions by schools/school districts, we will not offer in-person workshops this year. We will provide directors with a limited library of prerecorded workshops.

Workshops offer educational opportunities for students and educators/directors.  Educators and other theatre professionals are encouraged to develop and present workshops both as a form of personal and professional development and as a genuine service. The WHSFA can provide certification and documentation of professional development for leading workshops. The following list is a starting-point; other topics are certainly welcome!
